Homemade Gingerale

The above quote couldn't express better how I am feeling now that the hot weather has set in. Although I look forward to summer, it's not the season for this fair skinned Celtic gal. I'm more of a cool weather lover with Fall being the season I look forward to most. The trick to surviving the heat for me is drinking alot of fluids and I love gingerale, especially in the summer. What could be better than making it for yourself and being sure the ingredients are fresh?

Ingredients
To make Ginger Water:
1 cup peeled, finely chopped ginger
2 cups water

To make Simple Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

You will also need:
Club soda
Lime juice
Lime wedges

1) Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Add ginger. Reduce heat to medium low and let ginger sit in the simmering water for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 20 minutes. Strain liquid through a fine mesh strainer. Discard ginger pieces.

2)In a separate saucepan, make the Simple Syrup by dissolving 1 cup granulated sugar into 1 cup of boiling water. Set aside.

3) Make individual (tall) glasses of ginger ale by mixing 1/2 cup of ginger water with 1/3 cup of Simple Syrup and 1/2 cup of club soda. Add a few drops of fresh lime juice and a lime wedge to each glass.

Makes four servings.

Haroon's Shoes

Hi Beauties!

Todays post is going to be about shoes. I love stylish and trendy shoes.... mostly I wear flat chappals as I feel very comfortable in them. Im a size 37. Few months back I got myself 3 different colored chappals from Haroon's. Haroon's is a very popular gift shop situated in Qaddafi Stadium Lahore. They have other branches in Defence Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. They have a huge variety of shoes, bags, wallets, clutches, jewllery, sunglasses, scarfs, home decor and many more. Its a place worth visiting. Anyways coming back to the topic... these are the chappals I got myself.

Its such a nice blue shade with black imprinted sole and a cute little flower on the strap. The sole is really very comfortable and I like wearing this pair.

This is a bright green colored pair with loads of green colored suede pieces sewn together. The sole is so comfortable I wear it whole day long and my foot heels never hurt. The sole is really very soft.

Here is another lovely pair in black with pointed flower petals. Looks classy when worn but I am not so pleased with the sole of this pair. Its a wooden sort of sole and is really hard. My heels start hurting if I wear it for long hours and I definitely cannot imagine shopping while wearing this pair.

I don't exactly remember the prices of these pairs but I guess I got each pair for Rs. 895. Pretty reasonable. I am very happy with these shoes, they are really cute and different and I would suggest you all to pay Haroon's a visit. It sure is worth it. Let me know what you think of my post. Tesoro accessories Clutch

Todays post is going to be a little from from other regular posts. Its going to be about a clutch bag that I recently purchased from Tesoro Accessories. Tesoro accessories ia a famous brand in Lahore. They deal in jewllery, hand bags, wallets, laptop bags, fashion clothing and lingerie. They have a wonderful collection. Every time I visit Tesoro I end up buying something for myself. Anyways coming back to the topic, I was desperately in need of a formal, semi formal sort of silver clutch bag and I casually went to Tesoro and saw this beauty there..

Here is the inner view of the clutch. It has a silky lining inside and has a small ID/money pocket inside.

There is also a dettachable shoulder chain with the clutch. In case you feel like hanging it on your shoulder instead of carrying it in hand all the time, you can simply attach the shoulder chain and hang it over your shoulder.

I am simply in love with this clutch. I got it from Tesoro accessories Qaddafi Stadium Lahore.I do not exactly remember the price but I guess it was somewhere around Rs. 1250 and I got a 10% discount on it as well. Overall I would rate this product as 5/5.
