Beauty Haul from Al Fatah

Hi Beauties!

So continuing my haul posts from previous month, I have got some more to share. Al Fatah has got quite some variety when it comes to cosmetics. They have MAC, Bobbi Brown, Body Shop and what not. I splurged some things too. Here is what I got.

These Too Faced eye shadow kits cost me Rs. 1195 each. Quite reasonable eh? Well guess what, I got ripped. How? Well, these are not originals rather copies and are available for Rs. 700 at Victoria Departmental Store Link Road. *Sympathies needed*

 

The 6 pcs eye shadow kit by Makeover Paris is for Rs. 895.

Classics lipstick for Rs. 275.

Neutrogena wave for Rs. 845. I asked the price at VIP cosmetics shop in Liberty Market and they are selling it for Rs. 1200. Gosh!

Boots Cucumber whitening Facial wash

With summer just around the nook its time to get vigilant about skin care. Heat and UV rays are surely set to damage our skins and those of us having oily skins, breakouts are just what we need to avoid. So here is a review on a face wash that I have been using for quite sometime now and its about to end. So I thought why not review it before it finishes.

This is a cucumber face wash by Boots, its more like a drug store product. I got this from Hyperstar for Rs. 225. The main ingredient of this face wash is cucumber. Cucumber has multiple beneficial properties for the skin. Our skin and cucumber share the same level of hydrogen thus cucumber helps in focusing on all the problem areas of the skin. Cucumber has a cooling effect on the skin. Thus it helps to soften and soothe, clean and cleanse the skin.

This face wash has cucumber plus whitening ingredients and vitamins in it. It comes in a 100 ml soft plastic pack and is travel friendly size. 

Here is how it looks like. Its white creamy in color and the texture is also cream like. Since its a creamy face wash it requires a little more amount of the product to lather well on face. I have a dry skin, no break out or pimples. This face wash works fine for me. I massage it on my face and rinse with water. What I notice after washing is my skin is soft, smooth, fresh and hydrated. I feel it clean and light. However I do not find it having any whitening qualities. I did not notice any improvement in my skin color. I would not recommend this to people having oily skins. This face wash tends to have moisturising properties and works great for people with dry skins but oily skin already has excessive moisture and I fear that it might break out skin. If you are looking for a normal everyday use face wash this is the product for you. But do not expect it to do any wonders. It will clean and cleanse your skin and that is I guess fine for everyday wash. It has a very faint cucumber smell which is almost unnoticeable but it is there. Overall I would rate this product 3.5/5. I leave the choice upon you to give it a try or not. This is my personal experience with the product. Hope you liked my review. Stay healthy and beautiful. Lakme' Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash

Today's post is about Lakme's fairness face wash from their Perfect Radiance line. This line I guess three products, a fairness day cream, fairness face wash and a fairness day lotion. I only got my hands on this fairness face wash.

What Does Lakme Claim:

• Fading away dark spots and blemishes
• Lightening Skin Color
• Helping even out skin tone
• Reducing Oiliness
• Fading away dullness
• Keeping tanning under control

Its gentle, deep cleansing action reveals skin that’s soft, bright and sparkling. For best results, top it up with the Day Cream or the Day Lotion for perfectly smooth, fair skin.

My Thoughts:

I found the packaging to be attractive. Its a very nice light pink colored 100 g tube. Squeeze the tube to make the face wash come out. Its a yellowish sort of cream and I didnot like its smell at all. Instead of smelling like lilly or sacred lotus it smells like some sort of antiseptics found in hospitals. So the smell was a complete turn off. When you rub it between your hands it turns like a white cream. It does not lather but takes the form of a soft cream. I massage my face with it for about a minute and rinse it off with water. I have been using it for quite sometime now and my tube is about to end. However i did not notice any improvement in my fairness or skin. Maybe it works better when backed up by the day lotion and day cream. It does washes off the dirt and grime on face and the face sure feels fresh and washed but after some time i feel the oil on my skin surfaces out again. I have a very dry skin but the harsh weather of Lahore makes my dry skin go oily in summers. So I definitely would not recommend it for girls with oily skins. I got this face wash from Hafiz cosmetics store for Rs. 180. Though it is affordable but its not going to do any wonders for you.

Not suitable for oily skin

My Recommendation:

This face wash did not do any wonders for my skin. I have a dry skin but in this hot and humid weather my face oils up, it does wash the face but doen not control the face oil and neither did i notice any improvement in my fairness. So i would not recommend this product at all to anyone. Overall i would rate this product as 2/5 only for the packaging and price affordability.
