Sleek glo highlighter in Sun Goddess

Hi Beauties!

So ladies this is my first sleek product..... looks amazing doesn't it? Well guess what! Its not the original sleek :p its another copy but looks so real that its hard to differentiate. I could not find anything similar to this product on the sleek website so just figured that maybe it was a limited edition thing or has been discontinued for some reason. Read further to know more about this product.

This is the bottom view of the palette. Its actually a sleek glo face and body highlighting palette weighing 9 gms. Its a sleek palette just like the name suggests which means its light weight and slim and can easily be carried around in your handbag and is travel friendly.

So this is what is inside the palette. Its a five bar face and body highlighter in gold shades. The outer part of the palette is made of matte black plastic. The lid has a mirror attached to it to view precise application of the product. It comes with a small brush applicator which makes the palette a complete combo for a perfect highlighter.

The applicator brush is soft. Its better than the one I have in my MAC duo blush. This one has soft bristles and gives a good application but then again for body highlighting I find the brush small in size and does not fully tend to the prupose. But then again something is better than nothing.

A close up of the highlighing bars.

Swatches of the bars in the same order.

The final look after blending.

My take on this product:

I really like those professional shots where the models are all glowy from head to toe with their cleavages and legs glittering. I kind of find them attractive. Since I work, so I cant wear highlighter on my body in office and look like Edward in sunlight but I do not miss any chance to put them on whenever there is a party or some wedding event. I like highlighting my neck area, the hollow of my neck and this product does the job superbly. From the swatches you might have noticed the product is quite powdery and due to the holes in the palette where the brush is placed, it might create a mess in the bag or wherever its kept. Other than that I don't find any flaws with it. It blends really really well and all the powdery and cakey thing vanishes once it is properly blended. It gives out a lovely gold glow and catches light when photographed. The look is just amazing. Once I run out of this product I am definitely going to buy it again. I'll rate it 4. 7/5, not rating it 5 just because of the applicator brush.

I got this for Rs. 350 from Victoria Departmental Store on Link Road Model Town. I think its worth a buy for the price and quality. I mean, look at the glow it gives you and the blend it has and that too just in Rs. 350! Hope you liked my review of my sleek face and body highlighter. Drop in your comments to let me know. I love reading your comments. Stay healthy and beautiful. Take care!

MAC duo blush (fake)

Hi Beauties!

Using MAC cosmetics is the dream of every girl who knows about MAC and understands its worth. Same is the case with me I am also one of those girls. I am using MAC here but the catch is its a replica not the original MAC. However knowing that I am using a branded copy is somewhat soothing psychologically just like the psych research says. So this is the compact duo blush I am bragging about.

Its a duo powder blush and when I say powder I mean powder blush in the literal sense. Why? I shall explain this to you later.  The blush weighs 12 gms and is very compact in size which makes it travel friendly. Infact I carry it in my makeup pouch in my handbag at all times. The one I have is in shade 01. Although I did not see any shade variations in other kits, the shop had it only in shade 01 so I am not sure if other colors are available or not.

One is a soft coral shade and the other one is a nice bubble gum pink color.

One thing I like about this blush is that besides being a copy it comes in a nice finishing. Its actually a double storey blush. I did not figure it out right away when I purchased it. I know it sounds really dumb but I could actually hear something moving in the kit but just could not figure out what it is or why is the sound coming. Then somehow the lower portion clicked open and I discovered a mirror fixed at the bottom of the blush along with an applicator brush. Talk about Columbus discovering America and I discovering mirror and brush in my blush duo :p

Okay, I admit I seriously dont know how to use this brush. Whenever I apply blush with it I get a straight slanting rectangular color on my face. I do not find this brush fun to use at all as I do not know how to blend with it. I might sound dumb here but maybe I am :p The brush is not all that soft, it has a little hard bristles which might make it annoying to use.

Here is a swatch of the peach shade.

This is the pink one.

Here is how the pink one looks while blended. It gives out a very creamy smooth fresh pink flush to the cheeks. I am wearing it today on my cheeks at work.

This is blended swatch of the coral peach shade. It is also really creamy and smooth.

I have used this blush duo alot and I like it too. Due to its compact size its always found in my handbag in case I ever need to apply blush on. Plus both the colors are the ones that compliment majority of the colors in dresses. When I said they are literally powder blush ons I meant they are so powdery that once touched the powder spreads all over the kit which maybe a nuisance if it keeps falling here and there in the bag. But on application over cheeks its effect is real smooth and creamy. It blends really well and gives a clean matte finish to the cheeks not at all chalky. You can see what I mean in the above swatches too. Another con I find in the kit is the existence of mirror under the blush. First one needs to open the second compartment, take the brush out, open the first compartment, sweep the brush and then again the second copartment to see the mirror for precise application. See, what I mean!

Overall its a good affordable thing to carry around. It cost me Rs. 350 and I purchased it from Hafiz Cosmetics. I would rate it 3.8/5 and is worth a buy. Hope you liked my review. Post in your comments and let me know. Stay healthy and beautiful. Take care!

Amuse Blush Palette

Hi Beauties!

Blog sales are really on these days. I have seen so many blogs conducting sale now a days. I love these sales. There is nothing more fun than trying new makeup products that too on affordable and reasonable prices. I am aware of the harms of sharing makeup products but one can always disinfect them before using. That is my own opinion and I respect the fact if your views differ.

So Madiha a you tuber from colorsinmyeyes had a blog sale on Facebook a few days back. I liked some products but the most economical and practical I found was this blush palette for myself.

Its a 6 piece blush palette by Amuse cosmetics. I am personally not aware of this brand. This is my first ever product by Amuse. So I googled Amuse cosmetics and went through their website. I must say they do have some variety of products. You should check out their website to see what I am talking about. Here is a link to their website. The prices are not mentioned so I can not comment on the affordability of this brand.

So this lovely blush palette contains two brown shades, two pinks and two bright apple red sort of shades. The upper three shades are not that bright, they are subbtle and nude which is exactly how I like my blush on to be. I have swatched all the shades below. The upper three are the ones I am using on frequent basis as I prefer light and nude sort of makeup at work rather than bright glowing flashy face.

A close up of the upper three shades.

A close up of the lower three shades.

Like most of the blush ons I must say this palette isnt at all powdery or cakey. When I sweep my mini kabuki brush over the blush it doesnt get powdery at all and neither it spreads on the palette. It simply adheres to the brush and gives a very neat application over the face. This is the most prominent thing I liked about the palette and I was really surprized to see how smooth and neat application it provided. I clearly was not expecting this. I really like the variety of shades this palette offers, it has all the basic shades and is travel friendly for casual use.

Now the reason I got this palette was the variety of colors it had plus the price of it. This palette cost me Rs. 350 only exclusive of the delivery charges. Amazing isn't it! Anyways I am thankful to Maddi for selling this palette to me. I really like it and would rate it 3.7/5. If you get your hands on anything by Amuse cosmetics give it a try, maybe your experience will turn out to be a happy one like me. Hope my review was helpful. Stay healthy and beautiful. Take care!

Vital Radiance Powder Blush

Hi Beauties!

This review is about a product range by Revlon, the Vital Radiance range.

Its a powder bluch by Revlon Vital Radinace in number 06, Berry Radiance. Its a very nice plum color. It comes carded with a dark purple background and a clear plastic covered all over it. The blush is in an off white compact with a transparent flip open top. Each blush is in 0.3 ounce and has a star shape with light pink in the middle and and a darker pink and plum color outside the lighter base color. Its more like a mosaic blush in a way that it can be swirled together for a dimensional look.

This blush is hard packed and not at all a lose powder. I just sweep my brush all over the powder making sure to swirl it around the star and other colors, apply it to my cheeks with a light hand and there's it. My face looks fresh and radiant (Hence the name radiance, i assume). It has a touch of very light micro golden shimmer that is almost unnoticeable but it sure does give u a glow. However the look it gives is a matte one with a light glow.

I have been using this blush on for quite some time now and i am totaly satisfied with it. Its buildable, matte, smooth and radiant. Its a total recommend from my side. Let me know what you think about my review. Stay healthy and beautiful. Take care!
